Diet soda cake or apple sauce cake? Which one would be better to use with a box of BC super moist carrot?

diet cakes
I was thinking of using diet orange or diet lemon lime but applesauce also seems like a good alternative for moist cakes - has anyone tried both of these low fat alternatives?

Applesauce or pumpkin would go better with this cake mix than soda.

I personally like soda’s taste in cakes better than applesauce or pumpkin. =)

Go for the applesauce - using diet anything is not good; besides, it has nothing to do with the fat content or the moistness of baked goods and all that using anything with artificial sweeteners does is cause you to gain weight - proven in University studies - and leave a bad aftertaste in your mouth. If you want to use soda in a cake, use regular - it is better for you in the long run. More and more people are developing allergies to artificial sweeteners so stay away from them.

I’d say either the applesauce or pumpkin not the diet sode for carrot cake. I know saw recipes including cakes using pumpkin on they have great ideas there.
